Ezekiel (bottom) and Samael (top) from my graphic novel/comic.
They're both angels of death, influencing how and when a person dies, then taking the soul to either heaven or hell.
In my story, when Lucifer rebelled and was thrown from heaven, Samael was part of the third of heaven that fell with him. He's still an angel of death, he just deals with the darker side of deaths like murders, suicides, and then takes the souls to hell.
They're twins, and despite their opposing sides, they still work together. Even if Samael is a soldier for Lucifer, he loves his brother. So much in fact that he becomes a double agent for heaven's side. Or is it all a ruse??
He's also married to Lilith. Haha, poor soul.
